TALE OF THE MAKER

• The Maker goes after every person who wronged him and kills them

• After a killing spree, he laughs insanely, becoming addicted to seeing blood

• He begins cutting himself for his own enjoyment, making him more insane

• He goes after his own family, cutting them up until they are no more.

• After killing every person of his own species, he suddenly realizes what he’s done

• He mourns over his dead family

• Suddenly, as a punishment for his actions, a rune is smoldered into his forehead, causing him deathly pain. He survives through the pain. He passes out on the ground.

• The Maker wakes up in space, his planet not seen anywhere.

• The Maker starts to get flashbacks of what he’s done. He begins to convince himself that he’s not insane.

• The rune on his forehead becomes an entity known as The Angel

• The Angel starts to explain that what the Maker has done is unforgivable, and as a punishment, they exist to watch over the Maker.

• The Maker looks back on everything, tears forming in his eyes. The Angel tells him to “fucking dry it up”, because the Angel isn’t buying his apology or his attempt to make himself the victim.

• The Maker decides to make a deal with the Angel. He can still have his god powers and start anew, but if he messes it up by killing someone, he has to go extinct.

• The Angel sighs, and agrees to give him a second chance, then turns back into the rune on his forehead.

• The Maker creates the Vyle universe, creating Zalox

• The Maker sends an egg to Zalox

STRANDS OF DIGNITY

• Fawzha Stargh is born via the egg.

• Bitrios is born.

• At age 13, Hexis and Fawzha meet

• 9 years go by. Fawzha and Hexis are both 22 years old.

• Fawzha meets Hexis.

• Fawzha brings Hexis and meets the two lords (Laxinos and Dymiton).

• Fawzha is known as the Archangel, which is proven by Dymiton’s “Trial by Fire”.

• Bitrios builds a huge factory on the other side of the planet.

• Dymiton is alerted of the factory, with it creating unknown monstrosities.

• The Vylian War begins.

• Bitrios sends each monstrosity to Fawzha’s location.

• Fawzha, Hexis, Laxinos, and Dymiton all fight said beasts.

• After a long battle, the Vylian War ends. Everyone dubs them as the “Xylian Colony”.

• Bitrios’ factory is destroyed

• The colony sends Bitrios to Hell

• A wormhole emerges in deep space, with unknown flying beasts beginning to emerge.

DWELLING ON HOPE

• Fawzha and the group travel through a nearby ruined city and find an abandoned house. They decide they can settle down for a bit.

• Fawzha hears footsteps in one of the rooms. He peeks inside to see a female gray wolf in the room. The female wolf freezes.

• Fawzha asks the wolf what she's doing there

• She states that her name is Evelyn, but she goes by Eve. She explains that the house was the only shelter she could find.

• Fawzha decides to let her stay

• That night while everyone was resting, Eve stayed awake, having a form of manic episode.

• She leaves the house and finds herself in a black garden.

• She sees the Maker and begins to panic. The Maker asks her to calm down and to breathe.

• Evelyn calms down and looks at the Maker, asking why he is there.The Maker tells her that he just wanted to relax

• Evelyn starts to question why she’s even alive. The Maker comforts her by putting a flower in her hair and states that he wishes he knew.

• The Maker sits on the nearby metal bench and scoots over for Evelyn. Evelyn joins him on the bench and starts crying. The Maker hugs her and tells her that it’ll be okay.

• After she calms down, the Maker explains his situation, about how he killed his entire race, even though he didn’t actually do it. Something made him do it.

• Evelyn looks at him, not believing a word he’s saying, but then she sees the rune on his forehead and questions it. The Maker says it’s the Angel’s rune, stating that the Angel can control him. Evelyn’s ears droop at that information. She asks how he knows this, and the Maker states that he remembers reading a book on runes before the Angel took over his head.

• The Maker then asks her a very important question: will she be there, even when the world ends?

• Evelyn looks at the Maker, and with very determined eyes, she agrees.

• The moment she agrees, both her and the Maker’s eyes flash white for a split second. Unbeknownst to her, something about her had changed

• The Maker thanks her for her time, and suggests that she returns home. Evelyn gets up from the bench and waves bye to the Maker. The Maker waves back.

• Evelyn makes it back to the abandoned house and lays back down. She relaxes entirely and falls asleep.

LOST IN VEINS

• An eye appears in the sky. Fawzha wakes the group. Everyone wakes up and looks up into the sky. The eyeball looks around and spots Fawzha. Fawzha covers himself with his cloak as the eye shoots a laser. But Fawzha doesn't get hit.

• Eve is holding a piece of steel and it bounces back. Eve says hello to Fawzha calmly. Fawzha, afraid, says hello. Hexis grumbles.

• The eye warps into a portal and the Folphia emerges. The laser hits the Folphia instead of the eye.

• The Folphia’s eyes open, and looks around, then sees Fawzha. The fluffy beast lets out a shriek, and smaller variations of it begin pouring into space.  Each and every beast begins charging at Earth.

• Fawzha and the crew hide in the abandoned house. Everyone begins questioning each other.

• The group decides that this planet is no longer safe to live on. Dymiton changes into his true form and tells everyone to hold hands. He teleports them to Hell, in his castle. He says they are safe there for the time being.

• Fawzha looks out the window to see a massive city that Dymiton himself built. Dymiton jokes that Fawzha can’t afford to live here. Fawzha grumbles.

• Eve points to a skeleton in a sealed room and asks who Bitrios is.

• Dymiton explains to them that he’s the beast of radiation, the epitome of death. Bitrios looks up and tries to attack Fawzha, growling.

• Dymiton restrains Bitrios with chains. Bitrios shrieks. Fawzha steps back and stares into Bitrios’ eye, seeing his life flash before his eyes. Laxinos shakes him out of the trance. Fawzha explains that what he saw he cannot describe. All he heard were screams.

• After a few days, Fawzha realizes that they cannot hide any longer. He tells the group that they have to go back to Earth and fight. Eve states that they don’t stand a chance. But Fawzha is confident.

• The group returns to Earth and mentally prepares for a battle.

• A loud roar echoes in the distance. The Folphia reveals itself to them, its glowing green eyes turning red with rage. The group attacks the beast.

• After a long battle, the Folphia is defeated. The group celebrates… before the Folphia begins to move again. It grows bigger in size, its eyes and teeth multiplying, until it becomes its final form: Folphia X.

• Folphia X unleashes its full potential and uses the eye in the sky. The eye sends down hordes of dark shadow-like creatures. The creatures begin to attack the group, hurting them all fatally.

• When all hope seems lost, Evelyn looks at Fawzha with a sad look, knowing they can’t win this battle. But Fawzha ignores her. He gets up and puts his hands on his head in rage.

• Suddenly, Fawzha begins floating. He grows four sets of wings and gets eight eyes like a spider. His eyes glow white and his body turns black and shadow-like. He roars at Folphia X and attacks. Folphia X swings at Fawzha, but immediately loses track of him. Fawzha hits Folphia X’s skull until it shatters. Folphia’s body cracks, white light emerging from the cracks, and explodes. The group, despite being wounded, celebrates as the eye in the sky dissolves.

• Fawzha lands on the ground and looks at the group weakly, then passes out.

ALL EYES

• Fawzha wakes back up at the house, his group worried about his condition

• Hexis goes to hug Fawzha. Evelyn stands there, looking at the interaction. In her eyes, she begins to see black creatures that look like the Maker. She excuses herself from the building and walks through the city.

• Evelyn sees knocked over arcade cabinets. When she looks closely at the controls, maker-like eyes appear and stare at her. She screams and leaves the arcade. She breathes in the fresh air and looks above the antenna of the skyscraper to see a huge beating black heart with an unknown black fluid pouring from it. She looks around and spots a family member: her father.

• Evelyn calls out to her father and runs to him, going to hug him, but he disappears and she swings her arms around nothing. She whimpers and runs through an alleyway, the alley twisting behind her. Evelyn runs faster, panicking.

• She reaches the other side of the alley, looking back to see nothing after her. She calms down, but the moment Evelyn turns her head…

• She screams

• Evelyn kneels in front of it… she takes a picture out of its pocket and opens it. It's a picture of her and her father. She looks back at her father’s corpse and whimpers.

• Evelyn hugs his corpse and kisses his forehead. She takes his leather black jacket and puts it on.

• She gets up and turns around and…

• 𝚈𝙾𝚄'𝚁𝙴 𝙼𝙸𝙽𝙴

• Evelyn passes out.

• She wakes in a dark void, surrounded by white eyes. A huge maker-like beast goes to her and sniffs her. Evelyn begins to have a panic attack. The beast senses this and laughs. It wraps itself around Evelyn, trying to give her comfort.

• 𝙵𝙾𝚁𝙶𝙸𝚅𝙴 𝙼𝙴 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚆𝙷𝙰𝚃 𝙸'𝙼 𝙰𝙱𝙾𝚄𝚃 𝚃𝙾 𝙳𝙾. 𝙸'𝙼 𝚂𝙾𝚁𝚁𝚈, 𝙻𝙸𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴 𝚆𝙾𝙻𝙵.

• The beast bites her. Evelyn screams. The beast’s fangs shoot a black liquid into her veins. Then the beast lets go. Evelyn darts away. The beast laughs.

• 𝙴𝙽𝙹𝙾𝚈 𝚈𝙾𝚄𝚁 𝙶𝙸𝙵𝚃, 𝙻𝙸𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴 𝚆𝙾𝙻𝙵.

• Evelyn wakes back up in the alley, her leg broken. She touches her leg and it straightens and heals. She backs into a wall and panics, staring at her hand. She then gets up, looks at her father’s corpse a final time, and walks back to the house.

• Back at the house, she checks on Fawzha. Fawzha is bandaged and resting. Dymiton tells her that she should probably not bother him, but asks her if she wants to stay with the others a bit. She refuses and hides in the basement.

• In the basement, Evelyn vomits in a rusted sink. She looks at her vomit, noticing it's all black. She backs up and asks herself what’s wrong with her. 

• Suddenly, she feels a sharp pain on her left wrist. She pulls the sleeve back to see the Maker’s smile glowing back at her. She touches it but just feels her own fur.

• Eventually, Evelyn lays down on an empty mattress. She curls into a ball and sleeps.

• Nighttime arrives. Evelyn’s body starts changing extremely slowly. Her bones get stronger, her veins start pumping black blood, and she starts seeing things at a different perspective. Why don’t people see what she sees? Is she actually in a book, being written by an author that is beyond her comprehension? Is she even real?

• Maybe she’s the one writing the story… 

• Evelyn shakes her head. It’s clearly impossible. All she needs is rest.She can sleep this off. Maybe it’s all a dream… and if that’s the case…

• …all she needs to do is just wake up…

• …so she can tell herself that everything that happened…

• …was all fake.

HELL IN EVERY DIRECTION

• Fawzha finds himself in a weird black room with furniture of the same color. He tries to move, but he realizes he is chained. He grunts against the chains, trying to break free, but is unable to.

• Fawzha looks around the room and sees the Maker. The Maker tells him that there’s nothing Fawzha can do until those chains are broken, and that when they break, he’ll wake up.

• Fawzha asks what the Maker wants, and the Maker says he wants the Vyle rune so he can stop being the Angel’s slave. Fawzha asks him who the Angel is.

• The Maker looks up and tells Fawzha that the Angel is a being from the unknown, and that even he doesn’t know where it came from. He states that the Angel made him kill his own species. Fawzha tells the Maker that he killed his own species.

• The Maker grabs Fawzha and tells him that he’s lucky he’s not killing him right now. The Maker then demands Fawzha to give him the Vyle rune. Fawzha refuses and the Maker slams him down and looks down at him, saying that if he can’t have the Vyle rune, then no one can. He then turns his hand into a sickle and slices his chains…

• Fawzha wakes up in the abandoned house, seeing himself bandaged. Laxinos approaches him from reading a book and asks him if he’s okay. Fawzha replies that he’s fine, just tired. Laxinos gives Fawzha a cup of tea and states that he needs to head back to his realm for a bit. He suggests the group should get moving, as it's not safe to stay in one place for too long. Fawzha sighs and gets up. Hexis tells Fawzha that it’s probably for the best. Dymiton decides to follow Laxinos, to see what he’s up to.

• Evelyn wakes up in the basement and looks at her wrist. The Maker’s smile is still there, just not glowing. She sighs with relief and covers it with her father’s jacket sleeve. She gets up and leaves the basement, asking the group how they’re doing. Fawzha tells her that they’re packing and leaving the city, and that Evelyn should come with them.

• Evelyn looks at Fawzha and agrees, stating she’s seen creepy things in the city. The group gets up and Laxinos teleports away. Shortly after, Dymiton teleports as well.

• The rest of the group begins traveling until they reach a forest. There, they find an abandoned campsite with a shotgun and some ammo. Fawzha takes the shotgun and ammo. He looks at the shotgun, confused on how to use it, until he opens it and sees two holes where the shells go. He grabs two shells and loads the gun and cocks it. The group proceeds into the forest.

• In the middle of the forest, Bitrios attacks the group and shrieks at Fawzha. Fawzha hits Bitrios with the butt of the gun, but that makes Bitrios grip Fawzha harder. Fawzha aims the shotgun at Bitrios’ head and fires.

• Bitrios shrieks and lets go, covering his eye with his hands. The group takes this chance to run.

• After running for a bit, the group makes it out of the forest. They take a moment to catch their breaths, then they proceed until they reach the top of a hill to view an active city, with spotlights shining in the sky.

• Meanwhile, Laxinos arrives at his kingdom and rushes to the castle to see what’s going on. Dymiton hides in the shadows to eavesdrop. Soldiers tell Laxinos that his city is retaliating against him, stating that he was never there for them, and that they shouldn’t have to deal with a tyrant that’s trying to control their minds.

• When Dymiton hears this, he reveals himself and speaks up, asking Laxinos why he’s doing these things, but this results in Laxinos asking why Dymiton is there, and tells him it’s none of his damn business. This angers Dymiton, and he demands Laxinos to stop what he’s doing before he starts a war. Laxinos says “So be it” and this angers Dymiton even more.

• Dymiton breaks Laxinos’ realm in half and brings Hell into the other half. Dymiton tells his soldiers to prepare for war.

• The sun in the sky turns into a bloody eye that provides strength to both sides, and once the kingdoms were ready, they began the battle. No man’s land was created, and missiles were fired.

• Laxinos and Dymiton fight on the battlefield, beating each other until…

• The eye in the sky turns black and goes away. Each side stops fighting, clearly confused.

• Suddenly, bombs with the Maker’s smile on them begin to drop and destroy each realm entirely. The Maker walks onto the battlefield, finds Laxinos and Dymiton, and drags them away from the bodies. He tells them that if they’re gonna do all this fighting, then they shouldn’t leave him out.

• Dymiton and Laxinos get up, despite being extremely injured. The Maker laughs and states that this fight seemed too easy, then kills them both by stabbing their hearts, killing them instantly.

• Meanwhile, Fawzha and his group have settled into a house in the city, seeing it bustling with life. Fawzha expresses happiness, saying that moving into the city was a good idea. Hexis, holding a newspaper, tells Fawzha that he should read it.

• Fawzha grabs the newspaper and reads it. The newspaper states that there’s an unknown cave in the mountains nearby undiscovered, and that if anyone wants to explore it, they must contact the number on the paper.

• Fawzha realizes something, and then tells the group that maybe it could explain why he’s the archangel. Evelyn states that maybe it’s a bad idea, and it could be a scam, but Hexis gives Evelyn a look that tells her to shut up. Evelyn stops speaking, as she knows there’s no point in telling these two anything. They’re just gonna have to find out for themselves, aren’t they?

SPARK OF TRUTH

• Dymiton wakes up. He doesn’t understand how he’s alive. Before he can die again, he heals himself.

• He goes to Laxinos and revives him, using the magic they can only use in the realm. Laxinos wakes up, wondering what had happened. Dymiton responds by saying that whatever just happened is more important than their little war. Laxinos agrees. The two get up and leave the realm. They return with the others.

• Hexis and Evelyn are sitting in the house by themselves when Laxinos and Dymiton return. Dymiton asks where Fawzha is, and Hexis responds that he’s exploring a cave that could give him answers as to why he’s the archangel.

• Evelyn looks at Hexis closely as she talks with them. She notices that her behavior seems a bit off, despite her talking normally. She asks Hexis what’s wrong and Hexis snaps at her, telling her that she’s fine, and asks her why she’s always in her business. Evelyn responds shyly, stating that she was just wondering why she’s been acting weird. Hexis gets pissed off even more and draws her sword, causing Evelyn’s hand to turn into a blade, stabbing Hexis.

• Hexis freezes and looks down at where the blade is. Evelyn realizes what she’s done and removes the blade. Hexis collapses and Dymiton and Laxinos go to her side to aid her, with Hexis looking at Evelyn like she’s a monster. Evelyn leaves the house, panicking.

• Evelyn runs through the city into an alleyway, relaxing slightly until she sees the Maker’s smile. The Maker emerges from the darkness. The sigil on Evelyn’s wrist begins to glow.

• The Maker erects a bench from the ground and asks her what she did. Evelyn sits next to him and tells the Maker that she accidentally stabbed Hexis. The Maker sighs and understands that what she did was an accident, but then he says that that rabbit hasn’t done a thing ever since Fawzha met her. Evelyn realizes that he’s right and asks what she should do. The Maker tells her that she should come with him to his old planet where his family resided. Evelyn agrees and they teleport away.

• Meanwhile, Fawzha arrives at the cave entrance. He grabs a stick and makes a torch. He lights the torch using magic and goes into the cave.

• Fawzha begins observing the cave walls, not seeing anything until he turns around. He sees cave drawings of him and the group. He sees the Vyle rune above them all, seemingly upside down. Fawzha continues into the cave and sees a cave drawing of Evelyn holding the Maker’s hand. Fawzha begins to panic, realizing that the Maker has been watching them with Evelyn.

• He progresses further, and sees cave drawing depictions of…

• Fawzha freezes. He comes face to face with…

• 𝚈𝙾𝚄'𝚅𝙴 𝚂𝙴𝙴𝙽 𝚃𝙾𝙾 𝙼𝚄𝙲𝙷

• Fawzha backs away from the Maker-like creature, trying to fend it off with the torch. But it gets closer.

• 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝚆𝙴𝚁𝙴𝙽'𝚃 𝚂𝚄𝙿𝙿𝙾𝚂𝙴𝙳 𝚃𝙾 𝚂𝙴𝙴 𝙰𝙽𝚈 𝙾𝙵 𝚃𝙷𝙸𝚂

• Fawzha leaves the cave, clearly terrified. The creature laughs and retreats into the cave.

• Meanwhile, Hexis’ torso is wrapped in bandages. Fawzha returns to the house, and sees Hexis bandaged. He asks what happened, and Hexis, clearly pissed, says that Evelyn stabbed her with her new eldritch powers. Fawzha growls at this information. Fawzha then says he needs to explain what was in the cave.

• The group sits on the couch, with Fawzha sitting in a chair. He tells them everything, each cave drawing, and the beast he encountered.

• Time freezes for Fawzha. The beast appears from behind the couch…

• 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝚆𝙾𝚄𝙻𝙳𝙽'𝚃 𝚆𝙰𝙽𝚃 𝚃𝙾 𝚂𝙿𝙾𝙸𝙻 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙴𝙽𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙼, 𝚆𝙾𝚄𝙻𝙳 𝚈𝙾𝚄?

• “No”

• 𝚃𝙷𝙰𝚃'𝚂 𝚆𝙷𝙰𝚃 𝙸 𝚃𝙷𝙾𝚄𝙶𝙷𝚃

• The beast disappears behind the couch.

• Time unfreezes, and the group is asking Fawzha what else he saw. Fawzha states he didn’t see anything else, just cave drawings.

• Hexis stands up and states that they need to find Evelyn so she can give her a dose of her own medicine. Fawzha states that maybe they shouldn’t look for her. Hexis asks why, and Fawzha says that the further away her and the Maker are, the better.

• Meanwhile, The Maker shows Evelyn around his planet. Evelyn gasps with amazement, despite it all being destroyed. The Maker shows her where he lived, the town square, everything. Then Evelyn finds a weird looking helmet and picks it up. She asks what the helmets were for.

• The Maker looks at the helmet and sees his mother’s initials on it. His smile disappears and he states that these helmets went with armor for their military. He clutches the helmet and hugs it. Evelyn tilts her head and asks him if he’s okay.

• Tears begin spilling from the Maker’s eyes. He says he misses his mother… he misses his father… his entire family.

• A supernova explodes in the distance of space. Evelyn watches the Maker sit on the ground, hugging the helmet. She sits next to him and hugs him.

• Evelyn tells him that everything will be okay.

EXECUTION

• Fawzha tells the group that they should probably get moving. Everyone agrees

• Laxinos helps Hexis walk, but eventually gives her a cool looking stick that she can walk with.

• After about what seems like hours of walking, the group arrives at an empty field and sets up camp for the night. Fawzha starts a campfire. Hexis tells Fawzha that she’s proud of him.

• But before Fawzha can say anything, Bitrios, seemingly out of nowhere, kills Fawzha from behind using his scythe and shrieks at him, the blade going right into his heart. Fawzha’s body turns slightly gray. Hexis screams.

• Laxinos and Dymiton come out of their tents to see what happened. Bitrios takes Fawzha’s body and tosses it aside in the grass.

• Hexis, Dymiton, and Laxinos go to Fawzha’s body, seeing him eyeless and grayed. Hexis hugs his body.

• Suddenly, the Vyle rune on his cloak pin begins to glow, and shortly after, so does his body. Hexis lets go of his body and the group backs up.

• Fawzha’s body slowly begins to turn into red pedals, and then the pedals sprout into a tree that’s oddly shaped like the Vyle rune.

• Eventually the tree stops sprouting. Hexis goes up to the tree and touches it, feeling its bark.

• Dymiton, filled with so much fury, grabs Bitrios and teleports away.

• The two teleport to a city in Hell named Chaosil. Dymiton speaks to an overlord named Vlatimos and tells him that he has a new person to execute

• Vlatimos leans forward on his throne and asks who the skeleton is. Dymiton says his name is Bitrios, and says that he can’t speak. Vlatimos says that’s entirely fine.

• Bitrios’ scythe gets confiscated, and he is put in shackles and escorted to a holding cell.

• After about half an hour, Bitrios is transported to the other side of the city and is placed in a padded cell with maximum security.

• Meanwhile, Vlatimos asks why Bitrios should be executed, and Dymiton responds by saying he killed the archangel. Vlatimos immediately gets up and asks him again, just to clarify. Dymiton says it again, and Vlatimos begins going to the cell where Bitrios is being held. But before they even make it to his cell block, Bitrios escapes by destroying a wall. He finds his scythe and begins running.

• But he doesn’t get far…

• Right in front of him is a beast that was once alive, but was killed by Fawzha: Folphia Z

• Folphia Z roars and swings its tail at Bitrios, slamming him into a wall. Bitrios gets up and shrieks. He climbs onto Folphia Z

• Just as he does so, Vlatimos and Dymiton arrive at the cell, seeing the hole in it. They also see Bitrios fighting Folphia Z.

• Bitrios takes his scythe and slices open Folphia Z’s neck and crawls inside. Folphia Z roars in pain.

• Moments pass, and Bitrios slices his way out, sliding down Folphia Z’s neck, hitting its uvula, killing the beast instantly.

• Bitrios is immediately arrested and taken back to the other side of the city where he met Vlatimos.

• Vlatimos is insanely enraged at Bitrios for escaping his cell. Bitrios finally speaks in a very deep and raspy voice, stating that he was clearly in danger, but Vlatimos interrupts him saying that for one, he could speak, and for two, him being in danger doesn’t justify the fact that he escaped his cell.

• Vlatimos approaches Bitrios and snatches his scythe, and has two guards bring a bucket of lava. He stares at Bitrios in the eyes and drops his scythe into the lava, saying an interjection calmly. Bitrios shrieks as his scythe is destroyed. Vlatimos tells his soldiers to prepare the guillotine.

• The guillotine is quickly built precisely and perfectly. The guards put Bitrios’ head into the lunette, putting a basket in front of his head. Dymiton steps aside and stands by the throne, watching silently.

• Vlatimos grabs a blade and asks Bitrios if he has any final words. Bitrios responds, telling Vlatimos to go fuck himself.

• Vlatimos cuts the rope, and the blade falls, slicing Bitrios’ head clean off, landing in the basket.

• Dymiton shakes Vlatimos’ hand and thanks him. He apologizes for the trouble Bitrios caused him, and Vlatimos tells him not to worry about it, stating he has more to worry about. Dymiton teleports away.

• Dymiton arrives back at the campsite, Hexis has been silently depressed, with Laxinos retrieving the Vyle rune from the ground. He hands it to Hexis as Dymiton approaches. Dymiton asks Laxinos what they’ve been doing, and Laxinos responds by saying that they’ve been grieving.

• After about a moment of silence, Hexis says they should return to the city, and that there’s something she should do. She grasps the Vyle rune in her hand.

• The three of them ditch the campsite and return to the city. Once they make it back, Hexis heads straight to the bar.

• The bar is bustling and busy, but Hexis makes it to the bar and orders a wine. She then sees a small stage with a guitar, a piano, and some shakers. She sets the Vyle rune on a nearby table before going to the guitar and sits on a stool, and she begins to play out of grief. After a few seconds, Dymiton approaches the piano and begins playing out of grief. Then Laxinos joins, using the shakers out of grief. The bar gets quiet and listens to this somber tune.

• As this tune plays, the Vyle rune glows brightly, and so does the Vyle tree. At the tree, a dark blue furred hand emerges from the soil and pushes on the ground. Fawzha pushes himself up from the dirt and stands, but he looks different. He now has a weird horn in his head, his eyes are pink, and his clothing is slightly torn. He looks up at the Vyle tree, confused, until he realizes that he had died. He sees his cape on the ground, missing the Vyle rune. He picks his cape up and goes to the campsite, looking for everyone, until he hears a song playing on a gramophone in a nearby cave. He heads towards the cave and looks at the vinyl, but there’s not any vinyl. He then sees the radio station playing a tune from the city. Fawzha leaves the cave and heads towards the city.

• Just as the song ends, Fawzha walks into the bar and sees the group at the stage. Everyone suddenly begins clapping after the performance. He walks up to the table where the Vyle rune is and puts his cloak on. He then asks the group why they’re sad.

• Hexis immediately looks up and sees Fawzha. She hugs him tightly. Dymiton and Laxinos look up and see Fawzha. Dymiton ruffles Fawzha’s hair, while Laxinos pats his shoulder. They were all just glad Fawzha had returned… for now.
